Trip to Virginia Beach
Three Full Days in Virginia Beach
After spending over a year without being able to travel or fear of traveling due to COVID-19 we decided to take a short family trip during Spring Break. We packed our bags and drove down six hours to Virginia Beach. We arrived and got settled at our hotel Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront. We took a walk by the beach and went to have dinner at Catch 31 Fish House & Bar. We loved how kid friendly it was and how delicious the food was.
Day One
Our first full day started off with a trip to the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center. My son had a love and hate relationship with the Komodo dragon. He thought it was intriguing but was also afraid of it.
Day Two
We started our second full day enjoying the beach. The water was still cold in March so we did not get in but my son enjoyed wetting his feet and playing in the sand. We loved how safe we felt during COVID; there weren’t many people out especially since we opted for a five day weekday trip rather than weekend trip and everyone wore a mask.
We then headed to The Adventure Park at Virginia Aquarium where we went zip lining and climbing. It was my sons first time and it was very safe. My son had a great time fasting his fears.
Day Three
Our last full day began at the indoor pool. The hotel typically has a Skybar which was closed due to COVID-19 and outdoor pool that was also closed due to the low temperature. It appears that this hotel would be great for the summer especially when all the restrictions have been lifted.
To end all the fun we went to Flipper McCoys arcade.
