Trip to Paris

Three Full Days in Paris  In January 2020 my friend and I took a trip to Paris from London. We booked a high speed train which was rather comfortable and left us in the middle of the city. Day One We began our first day by visiting the Louvre Museum which was absolutely gorgeous inside and out. It is a museum you can spend all day in. From the mosaic ceilings to the statues and the paintings there is so much to admire. Of course we made a stop to see the Mona Lisa . Be warned there was a line and a time limit for each visitor to see and take a picture of the Mona Lisa from a distance. Our next stop was the Catacombs of Paris . We descended down into the catacombs and with an audio tour we learned all about the remains that were buried under the city of Paris. Not a scary tour if that’s what you’re expecting but of course they are real remains and there are countless skulls everywhere.  Day Two Our next day started off with a tour of the Eiffel Tower . We went all the w...

Trip to London

Three Full Days in London   In January 2020 (before COVID-19 caused the world to stop) my friend and I traveled to London. Our trip began with a long flight from New York to Heathrow Airport. After making our way to our Airbnb we got some food then planned the rest of our three days before heading to our next destination.  Day One We started our day bright and early with a cup of coffee and a trip to The British Museum . One great thing to know about visiting London is that all the museums are free and there are plenty to choose from. We only visited two during our stay but the Charles Dickens Museum, The National Gallery, Victoria and Albert Museum and Science Museum are other interesting museums to check out. If you love museums as much as I do you’ll love the British Museum where you can see the Rosetta Stone and the remains of Cleopatra.  We then went on to the London eye but we happen to go while undergoing maintenance. We weren’t able to get on during ...

Trip to Costa Rica

Pura Vida My husband and I took a trip to Costa Rica in June of 2019. It was love at first sight. The country is eco friendly and their people are even friendlier .  We stayed at a beautiful hotel called Arenas Del Mar Beachfront & Rainforest resort . We flew into San Jose and took a cab to Quepos where our hotel was located. Along the way our wonderful driver stopped to show us some of the sights including the alligators. Our hotel was located by the beach so we spent a lot of our 7 day trip (two days of mostly travel) at the different beaches in the area.    Day One  Was spent all day at the beach and at the different pools. The resort had two pools and access to two beaches.  We were also located in a rainforest so we got to see sloths hanging around the property along with lizards and iguanas.  Day Two   We went on a horse back ride through the rainforest. This was my first time riding a horse and it was wonderful. The tour company w...

Trip to Italy

Mom's 65th Birthday In April my mother turned 65 which meant I needed to make her birthday extra special. I wasn't sure how but I knew it meant taking her somewhere she'd always wanted to go. I'd heard her say she dreamt of taking a gondola ride in Venice and seeing Vatican city, so a trip to Italy was the perfect gift. One month before the trip I decided to tell her so she can plan accordingly. She was in shock but also very excited for our week in Italy.  DAY ONE Our trip started in Rome where we explored the city and all its wonders. The outskirts of Rome looked like any other city and it surprised me how much graffiti could be seen. First stop was the Pantheon which was a short wa lk from our hotel. It was very crowded and there was a long line to get inside but luckily I had purchased tickets beforehand so the wait was not as long.  We then headed to Piazza Venezia and The Altas of the Fatherland . Along the way we stopped to try the gela...
