Trip to Puerto Rico

Image
Five   Days in Puerto Rico Our flight from New York to San Juan Puerto Rico was quick and seamless. Due to COVID we had to ensure we all had negative PCR test completed up to 72 hours before entering. Entering was quick and easy as long as you complete the tests beforehand and uploaded the results. Our ride from San Juan Airport to La Concha Renaissance San Juan Resort was swift and easy.  Day One  We began our trip by exploring the area of El Condado . It was a lively area right by the beach  and was full of tourist . Some local Puerto Ricans compared the area to South Beach Miami.   My son passed some time playing in the fountain after we enjoyed some food at Cayo Blanco Seafood Restaurant .  Day Two This day was spent mostly at the beach and then dinner at Condal .  Day Three This day started with a trip to El Yunque Rainforest  booked through TripAdvisor. We were picked up at the hotel then driven to the rainforest where we took a h...

Trip to Virginia Beach

Image
Three Full Days in Virginia Beach After spending over a year without being able to travel or fear of traveling due to COVID-19 we decided to take a short family trip during Spring Break. We packed our bags and drove down six hours to Virginia Beach. We arrived and got settled at our hotel Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront . We took a walk by the beach and went to have dinner at Catch 31 Fish House & Bar . We loved how kid friendly it was and how delicious the food was.  Day One Our   first full day started off with a trip to the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center . My son had a love and hate relationship with the Komodo dragon. He thought it was intriguing but was also afraid of it. There was so much to see from the turtles to the sharks, sting rays and sea lions. Kids and adults alike will enjoy it. After the aquarium we took a walk on the boardwalk and found some horses. Virginia Beach OBX Horseback was allocated at the beach for reservation for horseba...

Trip to Paris

Three Full Days in Paris  In January 2020 my friend and I took a trip to Paris from London. We booked a high speed train which was rather comfortable and left us in the middle of the city. Day One We began our first day by visiting the Louvre Museum which was absolutely gorgeous inside and out. It is a museum you can spend all day in. From the mosaic ceilings to the statues and the paintings there is so much to admire. Of course we made a stop to see the Mona Lisa . Be warned there was a line and a time limit for each visitor to see and take a picture of the Mona Lisa from a distance. Our next stop was the Catacombs of Paris . We descended down into the catacombs and with an audio tour we learned all about the remains that were buried under the city of Paris. Not a scary tour if that’s what you’re expecting but of course they are real remains and there are countless skulls everywhere.  Day Two Our next day started off with a tour of the Eiffel Tower . We went all the w...

Trip to London

Three Full Days in London   In January 2020 (before COVID-19 caused the world to stop) my friend and I traveled to London. Our trip began with a long flight from New York to Heathrow Airport. After making our way to our Airbnb we got some food then planned the rest of our three days before heading to our next destination.  Day One We started our day bright and early with a cup of coffee and a trip to The British Museum . One great thing to know about visiting London is that all the museums are free and there are plenty to choose from. We only visited two during our stay but the Charles Dickens Museum, The National Gallery, Victoria and Albert Museum and Science Museum are other interesting museums to check out. If you love museums as much as I do you’ll love the British Museum where you can see the Rosetta Stone and the remains of Cleopatra.  We then went on to the London eye but we happen to go while undergoing maintenance. We weren’t able to get on during ...

Trip to Costa Rica

Pura Vida My husband and I took a trip to Costa Rica in June of 2019. It was love at first sight. The country is eco friendly and their people are even friendlier .  We stayed at a beautiful hotel called Arenas Del Mar Beachfront & Rainforest resort . We flew into San Jose and took a cab to Quepos where our hotel was located. Along the way our wonderful driver stopped to show us some of the sights including the alligators. Our hotel was located by the beach so we spent a lot of our 7 day trip (two days of mostly travel) at the different beaches in the area.    Day One  Was spent all day at the beach and at the different pools. The resort had two pools and access to two beaches.  We were also located in a rainforest so we got to see sloths hanging around the property along with lizards and iguanas.  Day Two   We went on a horse back ride through the rainforest. This was my first time riding a horse and it was wonderful. The tour company w...
